Carl Wilson and his brother, Dan, couldn't believe what they were looking at. There, standing in the woods on a downed tree was a seven to eight-foot-tall winged humanoid staring straight at them.
The event occurred in late September 2024 when the two men were setting up hunting blinds for the coming deer hunting season. Carl said, "It was a nice day, and it was late afternoon when the sun was going down, but there was still some light, and we could clearly see the thing."
Carl said, "Dan saw it first and elbowed me and indicated to look in the direction where the creature was standing. He didn't say a word. I looked and saw it standing about 20 yards away from us." Carl and Dan looked at each other and even though they were both armed with pistols decided the best thing to do would be to pack up and leave, which they did very quickly.
The creature was all black with glowing eyes and no neck. Its wings were down at the sides of its body. It looked similar to a man but with bat-like wings. The men saw no feathers. It stared menacingly at them, as if to say, "Back off."
Carl and Dan have no plans to go hunting in that area again, even though they've done so for over 10 years.
"We've been out in that location for years and never saw anything like it, said Carl. I have had the feeling that something was watching me while I was in my tree stand, but never saw anything strange." Now Carl believes that feeling may have been caused by the creature.
When asked what he thought it was Carl said, "I dunno - Mothman maybe?"
Neither man thought to take a photo - they just wanted to leave.

I don’t want to say it didn’t happen, because in this world today, absolutely anything is possible! But, I tend to think that the brothers were dipping into the shine, which is something you should never do if you’re out hunting! Thanks
